Intetra
Overheight Vehicle Detection Systems
Height-restricted infrastructure such as tunnels, bridges, overpasses, underpasses, and toll canopies is constantly exposed to serious damage, accidents, and prolonged traffic disruption caused by overheight vehicles. Intetra Overheight Vehicle Detection (OHVD) Systems eliminate this risk by detecting vehicles that exceed the permitted height limit before they reach the structure, protecting both the infrastructure and the driver.
Using roadside infrared / laser barriers and optional LiDAR scanning technology, the system measures the height of every passing vehicle in real time and without contact. The moment a vehicle exceeds the predefined clearance threshold, the system activates the warning chain within seconds.
Instant Warning and Driver Notification
When a violation is detected, the driver is immediately alerted through integrated Variable Message Signs (VMS), flashing warning beacons, and optional audible alarms, allowing the vehicle to be safely redirected before any structural damage occurs.
Recording, Plate Recognition and Enforcement
The integrated camera and license plate recognition (ANPR/LPR) system records the plate, class, date/time, and height data of overheight vehicles. Powered by AI-based analytics, every violation is logged, reported, and transmitted to the designated central server.
Full Integration with Central Systems
Overheight Vehicle Detection Systems operate in full integration with tunnel management software, highway management platforms, and traffic control centers, enabling authorities to monitor violations in real time, accelerate incident management, and safeguard infrastructure from a single center.
Application Areas: tunnel entrances, low-clearance bridges and overpasses, underpasses, toll canopies, historic gateways, and height-restricted industrial facility entrances.
Intetra Overheight Vehicle Detection Systems are a new-generation protection solution that prevents overheight-vehicle accidents and costly infrastructure damage while keeping traffic safe and uninterrupted.
